about

This tune was written by Rachel Smillie to celebrate the end of an 850 mile long walk through Scotland by her hill walking friend Dave Hewitt. His destination was Cape Wrath, the most north westerly point on the UK mainland. The tune was originally recorded by Rachel’s band The Hallanshankers, on their debut recording "Hamfisted"; many thanks to Richie Evans for introducing us to the tune and it’s story.
